I wanted to take the time to thank you for all you have done for me. You’re an amazing friend of my dad, our family, and a mentor to me. My dad has told me many times how close you guys are and how you were such a great teammate of his.
I have known you for as long as I can remember and you have always been the baseball guy my dad talks about the most from his past. I am so blessed to have had two ex professional baseball players / great men teach me the game. You were like my second baseball dad, only from Texas. I often wished that you had lived in Arizona and I could have had more of your time.
Each time we got together growing up it was always a baseball / life learning opportunity. From the time I was in Little League to Junior Olympics, Perfect Game, and the summer before I started at Baylor you were always a part of it. My dad always told me to focus and take advantage of the time spent with you. I cannot thank you enough for introducing me to Mitch Thompson, the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Baylor. I’m now a Baylor Bear! I’m throwing at 90 MPH from center field and shortstop. Had I been in your velocity program full time, I’d probably be a pitcher by now! I had no idea that my additional arm strength and athleticism would lead me to play centerfield my freshman year at Baylor after being a middle infielder my whole life. I want to get back to train on the “Vertimax” ASAP, it is an amazing machine! I need to continue to develop and will be back at shortstop this summer and next year at Baylor.
