Jordan Tata


Jordan played collegiately at Bartlesville Wesleyan College in Bartlesville, Oklahoma for two years before transferring to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas in 2001.

In 2003, Jordan was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 16th Round, and went on to play for six years in the minors and MLB.  Career Stats 

He was named Tigers minor league pitcher of the year in 2005 after posting a 13 - 2 record for the Class A Lakeland Tigers.

Jordan's big league debut came in front of friends and family at the Ballpark in Arlington, pitching in relief against the Rangers in April, 2006.  His first Major league win came as a starter while filling in for an injured Kenny Rogers against the Oakland A's in 2007.

Jordan also played in the Arizona Fall League for the Phoenix Desert Dogs in 2006, in the Dominican Republic winter league for the Gigantes del San Francisco in 2007, and for Leones de Caracas of the Venezuelan winter league in 2008.

His wife, Lauren, is currently a fifth semester veterinary student.  A former athlete herself, Lauren played volleyball at Lake Travis High School, and the University of Texas.
